Centre for Action Research and People's Development (CARPED) is an NGO in the development sector for more than 25 years in action research, working with tribes and people in remote areas for comprehensive development of children. The action research group emphasizes on making policies more people oriented.
CARPED is successfully confronting with many critical issues and helping missing kids reach their homes, promoting institutional health care in government hospitals for safe deliveries and fighting against age old tradition of child marriages and unnecessary hysterectomies, education and livelihood programmes.
CARPED is also known for interventions on challenging issues, community mobilisation, innovations, designing and executing pilot projects to demonstrate alternative models of development.

· 4th AmeriCares India Spirit of Humanity Awards 2013 – Certificate of Merit in recognition of outstanding contribution towards health care for society in the women’s health category
· Best supporting NGO in Medak district on health issues (by the Medak District Collector in April 2013) on promoting institutional deliveries in Govt hospitals.
· Finalists at SARDM (World Bank's South Asia Regional Development Marketplace 2008- innovative ideas to tackle HIV/AIDSstigma & discrimination : from insights to action) Our idea of creating awareness on HIV/AIDS among tribes in their language.
· Winner of the Funds for NGOs 'Great Proposals' Contest 2013.
