Mahita is implementing a project“ “Enabling Secondary Education and Employability for Out-of-School Adolescents in Minority Slums of Hyderabad,” for out-of-school adolescents in a minority low income setting (with proportional focus on girls) to acquire secondary level certification along with employable ‘soft’ and ‘hard’ skills. The pilot will provide 800 out-of-school adolescents with scholastic support as well as non-cognitive and vocational skills to prepare them to meet the challenges of adulthood from a position of strength. Open school learning pathways to secondary certification will be leveraged through eight local Resource Centres (RCs), in the slums. Mahita has established 8 Resource Centres in the Slums and also supporting the Teachers Salaries and other requirement of the Adolescents.
Since the project do not support the Fees of the Children and to appear the Examination through Distance mode i.e. through Telngana Open School System, each child need to Pay Rs.1,500-00 (Rupees Fifteen thousands Only) so that they can eligible to write the 10th Class Examination.
